One platform. Three answers to who holds the keys.
Core, Silo, and Sovereign run the identical EveryBill platform. The only thing that changes across them is who holds the AWS account root and who holds the KMS encryption keys.
The side-by-side
Everything below the tenancy row is a consequence of that one difference in account and key ownership.
| Core | Silo | Sovereign | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tenancy | Shared multi-tenant | Dedicated AWS account | Dedicated AWS account |
| AWS account owner | EveryBill | EveryBill | The customer |
| KMS key control | EveryBill | EveryBill | The customer |
| Customer read access to CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub | No | Yes | Yes, natively |
| Typical buyer | Operations / office manager | Compliance, IT | General Counsel, CFO, board |
| The fear it answers | Cost and speed | “Another tenant’s breach becomes mine” | “What if EveryBill is sold, fails, or is breached” |
| Exit story | Standard export | Export | You already own the account and the data |
| Starting price | $99/mo | $2,500/mo | $6,000/mo + AWS costs |
How to choose
Three plain if/then statements. Most firms only need the first one.
- If you want a branded payment portal live quickly at the lowest cost, and you do not have a compliance reviewer asking to see an isolated AWS account, then choose Core.
- If your compliance or IT reviewer needs to verify isolation from other tenants and read the audit trail directly, rather than take EveryBill’s word for it, then choose Silo.
- If your organization is worried about concentration risk — what happens if EveryBill is sold, winds down, or is breached — and General Counsel, your CFO, or your board wants your organization to hold the AWS account and the encryption keys itself, then choose Sovereign.
