Capability — Consumer portal

Let people pay without calling your office.

A 24/7 self-service payment portal, in English and Spanish, built for mobile. Consumers look up what they owe and pay on their own schedule.

A capability, not a product

The consumer portal is one of four capabilities built into the EveryBill platform. It runs the same way whether you choose Core, Silo, or Sovereign — the difference between those is who holds the AWS account and the encryption keys, not what the portal can do.

You do not buy the portal separately or choose a different tier to get it. It ships as part of the platform under every deployment option. See how Core, Silo, and Sovereign compare to decide who should hold the account and the keys for your firm.

What consumers can do

The portal covers the everyday tasks that otherwise turn into phone calls to your office.

    One-time payments

Look up a balance and pay it in a single session, without creating an account.

    Stored payment methods

Save a card or bank account for faster return visits.

    Payment plans and arrangements

Set up and follow a payment arrangement instead of paying the full balance at once.

    Transaction history

Review past payments on the account at any time.

    Receipts

Get a receipt for every payment made through the portal.

    English and Spanish

The full portal experience is available in both languages.

Built for mobile, and for everyone

Most consumers reach the portal from a phone. It has to work there first.

The portal is designed mobile-first, so the primary paths — find a balance, make a payment, see a receipt — work cleanly on a small screen before anything else. It targets WCAG 2.1 AA, covering things like keyboard operability, visible focus states, and real form labels so the portal works with assistive technology, not just a mouse and a large screen.

Fewer calls to your office

When consumers can find their balance and pay on their own, fewer of them need to call and ask someone to do it for them.

A self-service portal that is available around the clock takes the routine work — checking a balance, making a payment, re-enrolling in a plan — off your staff’s phone lines. That frees your team to spend time on the calls that actually need a person.

What customers say

“More debtors are paying on time and we’re spending less time tracking down payments.”
